Find out more about what we do
Parkinson’s can cause a wide range of symptoms but it is very unlikely that you will experience all of them. Some symptoms often start on one side of the body and may then go on to affect both sides.
Parkinsonism is the umbrella term given to a group of conditions that feature Parkinson’s-type symptoms: tremor, stiffness of muscles and slowness of movement (bradykinesia).
Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a less well-known illness of the nervous system which is sometimes misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s, stroke, Alzheimer’s or Motor Neurone Disease.
