Nominations to the Administration Board
The EPDA is well known and highly respected throughout Europe and internationally. It is a committed, vibrant, and energetic organisation and requires a committed and energetic Board.
The Administration Board welcomes nominations from enthusiastic people who are familiar with and have participated in the work of the EPDA.
Administrators are appointed by the General Assembly for a term of two years and may be re-appointed by the General Assembly at the end of their term.
They can be either a person with Parkinson's, carer or healthcare professional and reflect the geographic spread of the EPDA.
Administration Board Election Criteria
Representatives from the EPDA national member associations will be considered as nominees for Board positions providing they meet the following criteria:
- nominees have been actively involved in pursuing their Association's initiatives, achievements and goals for a period of no less than 5 years
- nominees have the support of their Association
- the nominees' sponsoring Association has fully paid its EPDA membership fees in the current year and for the last 5 years.
The EPDA Administration Board confirms that:
- the EPDA budget can support the full participation of the proposed number of Board members
- the Board will seek to maintain the widest possible geographic representation by its Board members.
Each nomination has to be accompanied by:
- written support from the nominee's association, signed by the President or Chairperson
- up to date Curriculum Vitae
- up to date photograph for publication.
