Ethical review panel

The EPDA has an ethical review panel, formed in 2010 to act as a forum in which ethical issues can be raised and discussed. The current membership is:

  • Susanna Lindvall (EPDA vice-president, Sweden)
  • Mariella Graziano (EPDA board member and physiotherapist, Luxembourg)
  • Ami Ariel (EPDA board member and person with Parkinson's, Israel)
  • Per Odin (neurologist, EPDA MDT expert review panel member, Sweden)

Expert review panel

In 2014 the EPDA reviewed the way it seeks expert advice and guidance concerning medical queries and project development. Because multidisciplinary care is so very important in our society, with the patient and carer at the centre, a new holistic review panel - the Multidisciplinary Expert Review Panel – was created.

The panel consists of experts from across Europe, each of whom offers advice and guidance within their area of expertise. All panel members provide their expertise in a voluntary capacity, for which the EPDA is most grateful.

EPDA income

The EPDA receives on average approximately €21,000 a year from its membership fees. The only other current form of funding we receive is from sponsorship with the treatment industry and limited grant funding. As a result, without the industry’s support we would cease to exist.

Our partners are companies and organisations of high standing and reputation, all of whom agree with the EPDA’s overall strategic direction and help support the integrity of the organisation. The EPDA has adopted the EMA Code of Practice, and partnership is established on shared interest, transparency, trust and mutual benefit.
