The EPDA are delighted to announce, that in partnership with the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland and PALS, the 6th Euroyapmeet will be held at Castleknock Hotel & Country Club, Porterstown Road, Castleknock, Dublin 15, Ireland.

This European conference is an important event that will focus on four of the most important facets of living with Parkinson's from a relatively young age.

• Maintenance of Parkinson's - taking control Learn more about the illness; techniques to ensure you are giving yourself the best chance of retaining or improving your existing quality of life. This section will deal with nutrition, alternative therapies, drug administration, and the advantages of a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of Parkinson's.
• Lifestyle Issues - anticipate and plan for the future dealing with reactions, knowing your boundaries and setting levels of expectation. This section will deal with employment, relationships, sexuality, children, life fulfilment, independence, carers issues and depression.
• The Future of Parkinson's - hope and science This section will deal with an overall picture of the status of research for better treatment of Parkinson's and hopes of a cure in terms of medication, stem cell therapy, gene therapy and surgery.
• Meeting people of a similar age, in a similar position sharing experiences and the promotion of a positive outlook

The conference is also an excellent opportunity to meet some of the people who really know about Parkinson’s in an informal environment.
