This month the EAASM newsletter highlights recent counterfeit medicines incidents and anti-counterfeiting actions around the world. Counterfeiting of medicines is not just an issue in Europe (indeed, some of the very worst cases have occurred in the developing world) and anti-counterfeiting is a global initiative. We hope that the news links in this edition of the newsletter will help keep you up-to-date with what is happening, both in Europe and globally, to combat this crime against patients.
Work continues apace on EAASM's major current project – centred on illegitimate online drug-sellers and building on our extremely successful “Counterfeiting Superhighway” project. The new project is at an advanced stage and more news will follow soon!
