Part 1 of the Move for Change survey was carried out during 2010 and aimed to investigate the first two rights laid out in the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA) Charter:
Over 2,000 people with Parkinson’s (PWPs) from 37 countries across Europe participated in the survey. These respondents represented a broad range of ages and time living with Parkinson’s.
The results presented here, together with the findings of Parts 2 (2012) and 3 (2013) of the Move for Change campaign, will provide a significantly enhanced understanding of the way in which Parkinson’s is diagnosed and treated in Europe, based on the five key rights laid out in the EPDA Charter.
It is hoped that this will assist the EPDA and its partner organisations across Europe to raise awareness of the challenges faced by PwPs and their families, and how standards of care can be improved.
