European Parkinson's Action Day Survey

Introduction

The EPDA Charter launched in 1997 on the first World Parkinson’s Disease Day states:

People with Parkinson's disease have the right to:

  1. Be referred to a doctor with a special interest in Parkinson's disease

  2. Receive an accurate diagnosis

  3. Have access to support services

  4. Receive continuous care; and

  5. Take part in managing the illness

EPDA Charter for People with Parkinson's Disease

The EPDA sincerely thanks all those in 2010 and 2011 who completed the first two parts of a three-part pan-European survey being carried out over between 2010-2013, to determine what difference the Charter has made to the overall treatment and management of Parkinson’s across Europe

Your responses will increase the awareness of the importance of the first 3 rights of the EPDA Charter and has highlighted areas where progress has been made and also where more work is required.

Your answers will be invaluable in helping the EPDA and the national Parkinson’s organisations to understand the level of services available to people with Parkinson’s and their families, and to determine where progress has been made and where more work needs to be carried out.

Part I and II surveys are now closed.  You can access these questions here:

The Part III survey is now open until 28 October 2012.
