Our aim is to raise awareness to ensure that all people with Parkinson’s and their families have access to the right management and the right treatment at the right time.

User Guidelines

The EPDA Facebook page and Twitter feed are intended to be freely accessible and open to the public and by the very nature of social media.   The EPDA gives no assurance of any kind as to the accuracy or quality of information contained in posts, nor to the accuracy, quality or fitness for purpose of any information contained in third party sites linked or referred to through posts. 

The EPDA values all contributions.  However, it reserves the right to remove postings if, in the EPDA's opinion, they:
  • do not relate to Parkinson's disease
  • promote or defame a particular treatment or management
  • are considered to promote a pharmaceutical product
  • are considered to be inappropriate and may cause offense or distress to any section of the public
  • contain any content that is unlawful, libelous, obscene, exposes private information or invades privacy
  • are deemed to be malicious and of harmful intent towards the EPDA’s website or any computer systems that link to it
  • are contrary to the aims of the EPDA. 

We request that all users follow the guidelines below:

  • be respectful in what you say and how you say it, remembering that everyone is entitled to their own personal view
  • read what you have written before you post it and consider how others may interpret or feel about what has been said
  • stay safe by not revealing personal information such as your address, contact numbers or password.
